My Back Porch Transformation – with Paint and Target

When I bought my house, I was really excited to have a large, covered back porch. The space was large and dated, so it took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do with it.

I am a fan of Scandinavian and boho styles, and I have always been drawn to cool tone colors. When I started with the space, I wanted it to feel relaxing and be a place to chill with friends.

I wanted there to be enough seating for a large group of people, and I wanted a hammock. Plus, I love swinging around, and I already had a porch swing (check out how I redid it here).

Before, the space really needed a fresh coat of paint. The concrete is also very uneven and patchy, so I was in the market for a rug to cover up the space.

I already had a large pallet coffee table that I adored (and was practically free to make), so I just needed the accompanying features.

Check out the before and afters:

I painted the posts with Metro Mist by Valspar.

Most of my decor and furniture came from Target. This post is not sponsored by the store, but I love Target decor. It fits my style perfectly.

I have always wanted have outdoor curtains, so I found these heavy duty curtains on Amazon and an industrial curtain rod from Target.

I love these curtains because they block the sun when it is to bright, and as a blogger they are a great back drop!

And of course, I had to get some ambient lighting. These string lights come with glass bulbs, so you can replace them easily.

Just be careful with the box, they break easily!

I am absolutely in love with this new space. This was my first project I took out on my own, and the results have been amazing. I cant wait to start on more projects.
