Must-haves for your casual Sunday picnic in the summer

I have two loves in life – food and the outdoors.

Okay, that’s a total lie. I also love movies, TV, dogs, all animals (besides snakes), Harry Potter, books, tattoos, home decor, etc. But for the sake of this post, those are my two loves.

And although it is too hot outside in the great state of Texas, I still manage to find a spot near a body of water to spend the afternoon relaxing and eating sandwiches.

And even though all you need for a picnic is some food and your favorite people (or dogs), there are a few things that make your experience a breeze.

If you are interested in going on more picnics, these are some things you must pack into your basket:

A Freaking Good Sandwich

Fruit

Blanket (and a backup blanket)

Water

Wine

Snacks

Dog treats (if you are bringing your furry pals)

Sunscreen

Bug Spray

Wipes

Towel
