Fitness Influencers to follow for motivation in 2020

If you have been following me for a while, you will know that I lost 30 pounds in 2019. In 2018, I dealt with a lot of depression and stress, and I gained a load of weight.

Although I am so proud of myself for losing those 30, I have always wanted to see how strong I can get. My body natural gravitates toward gaining muscle, so I am experimenting in 2020.

I just want to see how in shape I can get my body in a year.

If you are a normal human bring like me, staying motivated is easier said than done. I always like to sprinkle my journey with motivation – like new gym clothes, shoes, etc.

For starters, I keep a goal and reward list, so I can always be working towards something.

However, when actual items don’t do the trick, I like to follow fitness influencers and bloggers for a daily push.

The best part about following a good 5-10 fitness influencers is when you are strolling on Instagram, you get that extra push.

Every time I see abs, I am like – wait, I want those.

So here are 9 fitness influencers you should follow to keep you going in 2020!

Stretching is NOT injury preventing.⁣ ⁣ Sure it’s good to be mobile, but an injury occurs when the load/force exceeds the absorption capacity of the tissue it’s enforced upon.⁣ ⁣ Stretching doesn’t make your ‘tissue’ stronger or more capable of absorbing load/force and in fact too much flexibility can actually render you more susceptible to injury.⁣ ⁣ Something I learned first hand when I quit gymnastics and just maintained flexibility (not strength). ⁣ ⁣ This is one of the main reasons I became a PT (I qualified as a yoga teacher first) – because I knew that yoga wasn’t enough (and in some cases was more problematic) in helping people to build strong, resilient bodies.⁣ ⁣ And what is sexier than resilience?! ⁣ ⁣ Resilience doesn’t have to adhere to any beauty standard – you can be resilient at any shape, height or size. ⁣which is both liberating and empowering. ⁣ Anyway, I went off topic discussing sexiness, but if it gets you excited about balancing your approach to ‘health and fitness’ then it was an important distraction.⁣ ⁣ Strength, Mobility (and Meditation – more on that another time) are things that are incredibly important to me (and the Vertue Crew) because ultimately we want to build bodies so resilient we can snowboard, ski, skate, surf, travel, run, play, rave right up into our 90s.⁣ ⁣ Happy Training – VERTUE CREW who is starting the programme today?!?! DAY ONE! LET’S GET IT. ⁣ ⁣ Ps. I know my kicking game needs work. Feel free to laugh and point at all my technical flaws here. I don’t know why I thought this was an appropriate time to fix my hair. And somehow I thought a straight arm was a great way to guard my face. Good job Shones.

Alright so… the other day while resting between circuits, I came across a post talking about what irrational fears people have. And the things I read BLEW MY MIND!! Cotton balls?! Velvet?! 😦🙈 So I tried to think if I have any, and I can’t say they are actual *fears*, but I cannnot stand anyone poking my belly button. IT HURTS 😅 I also don’t like the feeling of microfiber cloths on my hands, it gives me the heebie jeebies. But some girls were saying their irrational fears make their actual teeth or their body HURT!! I’m so fascinated by this! Do any of you have any irrational fears?? 😅 P.S. This is why you don’t scroll on your phone during your rest times… 🙈 fbggirls www.annavictoria.com/fitbodyapp
