Unlocking the Secret: My Affordable Glass Skin Care Routine

I used to think that skincare was just for people with bad skin. I never had any major issues, so I never gave it much thought. But as I got older, I realized that taking care of your skin is just as important as taking care of your overall health. And when I started to be consistent and wake up to glowing skin that resembled glass, I saw the payoff. So with the results I had, I decided to dive headfirst into the world of skincare to perfect my glass skin care routine.

FULL GLASS SKIN CARE ROUTINE PRODUCTS HERE

At first, I had no idea where to start. I didn’t know what products to use or in what order to use them. So, I did what anyone would do: I turned to Google. I spent hours reading articles, watching YouTube videos, and scrolling through Reddit threads to learn as much as I could.

As I started to learn more, I realized that skincare can be expensive. I started amateurly attempting extreme coupons for CVS just to get eye cream, and I even remember getting excited when I could afford Aveeno. But, I didn’t let that stop me. I found affordable options that worked for me and slowly started building my routine.

Now, I have a skincare routine that I’m proud of. It took a lot of trial and error, but I finally found what works for me. I use a combination of affordable and high-end products, and my skin has never looked better.

So, if you’re like me and have no idea where to start with skincare, don’t worry. It’s never too late to start taking care of your skin. Just do your research, find what works for you, and don’t be afraid to invest in yourself. Trust me, your skin will thank you. In this blog post, I will detail my current skincare routine, including each step and the products used, while providing insights into their benefits and how they have helped me achieve healthy, glowing skin.

Importance of Having a Good Skincare Routine for Glass Skin

Having a good skincare routine is not just about looking good, but it’s also about feeling good. Our skin is the largest organ in our body, and it’s essential to take care of it. Having a proper skincare routine can help prevent premature aging, reduce acne, and improve overall skin health. A good skincare routine also involves using products that are gentle on the skin and suited to one’s skin type.

My AM Skincare Routine

My AM skincare routine includes eight steps that I follow religiously every day. Here’s a breakdown of each step:

  1. Double Cleanse: I start my day with a double cleanse. I use the I Dew Care Namaste cleanser followed by the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser. The double cleanse ensures that my skin is free from any impurities, dirt, and excess oil.
  2. Eye Cream: I then apply the Sunday Riley Auto Correct Eye Cream to reduce fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes.
  3. Vitamin C Serum: Next, I apply the Sunday Riley CEO to brighten my skin and protect it from environmental damage.
  4. Toner: I use the Thayers Witch Hydrating Mily Toner to help balance my lock-in moisture.
  5. Red Light: I use the USUIE 4 in 1 Facial Wand to help reduce redness and inflammation, penetrate my serums and minimize fine lines.
  6. Moisturizer: I apply the Origins GinSing Gel Moisturizer to provide hydration and nourishment to my skin.
  7. NuFace: I use the NuFace FIX to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  8. Oil: I use the Derma-E Vitamin C Oil all over my skin to prep for the next step.
  9. GuaSha: Finally, I use a Jade Gua Sha Tool to help improve blood circulation and lymphatic drainage.

My Night Skincare Routine

My night skincare routine consists of three different routines that I alternate between every other day. I follow this routine to allow my skin to rest, heal, and recover.

Day 1 Routine

On Day 1, I follow the first step of the skin cycling routine, which involves using certain skincare products that can be harsh or abrasive into my skincare routine only on certain days of the week while allowing the skin to rest, heal, and recover for the rest of the week. Here’s a breakdown of my Day 1-night routine:

  1. Triple Cleanse: I start by using the I Dew Care Namaste cleanser followed by the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser, and finally the Elf Melting Cleansing Balm.
  2. Peel: I then use the Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel to exfoliate my skin and remove dead skin cells.
  3. Moisturizer: I apply the Origins GinSing Gel Moisturizer to provide hydration and nourishment to my skin.

Day 2 Routine

On Day 2, I use a different set of products. Here’s a breakdown of my Day 2 night routine:

  1. Triple Cleanse: I start by using the I Dew Care Namaste cleanser followed by the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser, and finally the Elf Melting Cleansing Balm.
  2. Moisturizer Sandwiching: I apply the CeraVe moisturizer, followed by the Ordinary Retinol and the Good Molecules Niacinamide, and then CeraVe moisturizer. This technique is called moisturizer sandwiching, which is putting retinol and Niacinamide between layers of moisturizer for hydration.

Day 3 and 4 Routine

On days 3 and 4, I use the same routine as my AM routine. Here’s a breakdown of my Day 3 and 4-night routine:

  1. Triple Cleanse: I start by using the I Dew Care Namaste cleanser followed by the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser, and finally the Elf Melting Cleansing Balm.
  5. Moisturizer: I apply the Origins GinSing Gel Moisturizer to provide hydration and nourishment to my skin.
  6. Oil: I use the Derma-E Vitamin C Oil all over my skin.
